Having graduated with an English B.A. (Honours) from the University of Guelph, Laura dreamed of something more. She packed her bags, dyed her hair red and moved to Scotland where she learned to love haggis and bagpipes, and, one year later, returned with her Masters in hand.
Since then she has used her collection of degrees – picking up another two in publicity and marketing along the way – to work tirelessly to develop creative marketing ideas for publishers, authors, and many more.
Though not a writer herself, Laura has spent much of her life supporting literary types through her work for organizations such as the Chiaroscuro Reading Series, Toronto SpecFic Colloquium, and the Sunburst Award for Literature of the Fantastic.
