At the beginning of January 2012 I took over management of the ChiZine Publications Facebook and Twitter accounts. The goal was to increase ChiZine Publications’ online presence and create a sense of community between the company, its fans, and its authors.
In the first four months, I increased Facebook fans by 10% gaining over 230 fans and increased Twitter followers by 25.7% gaining over 320 followers. In addition to this, I created a social media plan and guide for the company so social media would remain consistent no matter who was posting online. Two particular additions to the online strategy incuded “Caption This” and “Behind The Scenes at CZP” posts. These posts had high engagement rates and helped to build ChiZine’s online community.
